Did You Know In HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE…
Warner Brothers almost filmed the series as a set of animated films or combined multiple books into one film. Their reasoning behind this decision was due to the idea that the actors and actresses would age too much if production ran for too long. J.K. Rowling ended up vetoing these ideas, and Warner Brothers decided to just film all eight of the films back to back so that the same actors and actresses could reprise their roles in each film. J.K. also vetoed the possibility of using two specific people who wanted a part in the film. Rosie O’Donnell and Robin Williams each wanted to play Molly Weasley and Rubeus Hagrid without pay, but J.K. wanted a strictly British cast instead.
