The plan for Thanos was much different originally. When Thanos smiles during the credits at the phrase “To court death,” it was actually in line with another storyline that was much closer to the original storyline in the comics. There, Thanos wanted to collect the Infinity Stones as a way to impress the goddess of Death by taking out half of the population in the galaxy. This was the original plan for the film, but the script of Avengers: Infinity War changed that. In Greek, one of the words for death is actually Thanatos. Also, There was a rumor that Joaquin Phoenix was going to be cast as The Hulk, but there are actually two superheroes that go with this rumor. Stephen Strange was the other rumor.
