Did You Know You Can Use Switch Online Controllers With The Switch Lite?!?
One of the cool things that Nintendo has done over the years is release console specific controllers for different systems on the Nintendo Switch Online Service. You can get almost perfect replicas of the NES controller, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and N64. While these work fantastically on the original Nintendo Switch and the Nintendo Switch OLED, you can't really use them on the Nintendo Switch Lite. Or can you? We actually got asked that question on a recent video and we're going to show you exactly how you can actually use the Nintendo Switch Online Controllers on a Nintendo Switch Lite
The pairing process only takes a few minutes. Navigate in the menu to the controller menu, and you can either press on change grip order or pair new controllers. Once the Switch is on this screen press the pairing button on your controller. Once the controller is in pairing mode and you see the LEDs circulating left to right hold down the L and R button at the same time. From here your controller should appear automatically to the system.
If you are pairing a Genesis, Super Nintendo, or a Nintendo 64 controller you have another way that you can connect to your system. Simply utilize a USB-C to USB-C cable, plug one end into the controller and the other into the system. Once the connection is made it should pair instantaneously. From here you can disconnect the controller to be able to connect wirelessly and play.
Once you have these controllers paired, you can play your Nintendo Switch Lite in tabletop mode with them. This is a pretty quick and easy way that you can go ahead and utilize additional controllers even on the Nintendo Switch lite.
