Part one of a set of 3-player multiplayer matches in Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64 by Rare. Bumper (MacDaddyNook), Conker ( SunBurntKen http://www.youtube.com/sunburntken ) and Tiptup (Duck) race hovercrafts on across the sea as the sun sets in Pirate Lagoon.

Diddy Kong Racing is a Mario Kart-style racing game featuring the ability to drive various vehicles such as cars, airplanes and hovercrafts. Along with Diddy Kong, the cast includes the debut of a couple of Rareware characters who would later star in their own games; namely Banjo from Banjo & Kazooie and Conker for Conker's Bad Fur Day. The gameplay is not unlike most kart-racers, however, it does feature a unique power-up system that allows players to upgrade their items by collecting balloons of the same color.

Pirate Lagoon, from the Sherbert Island area, is a short course set along the sea as the sun sets. Because it is set on water, the only vehicle available is the hovercraft. During the race, players will loop around the cover and into a castle-like structure before traveling beside a ship wreck and back to the starting line. It's a pretty fun track that features some bouncing water physics to add challenge to the course.

One thing I would like to note is that due to hardware limitations, music is not present during multiplayer matches with three or more players in-game. The music of the track was added into the video in post production and was edited in the same style as it would had music been present during gameplay.
