Diddy Kong Racing Multiplayer Trophy Race
47A full round of the Trophy Race between 3-players in Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64 by Rare. Diddy Kong (MacDaddyNook), Banjo (SunBurntKen) and Tiptup (Duck) take on all four courses of Snowflake Mountain area.
The Trophy Race is Diddy Kong Racing's equivalent to the Grand Prix mode in the Mario Kart series. Players go head to head in a gauntlet of all four tracks of a particular area with set points for each rank for each course that add up to determine the overall winner. Snowflake Mountain's Trophy Race starts off with flying airplanes in Everfrost Peak. Next is a series of car races on Walrus Cove, Snowball Valley and finally Frosty Village.
As stated before, all music that plays during the races were added in during post production as the Nintendo 64's hardware limitation forced the game to omit music during multiplayer races of three or more players. Also, rather than recycle Everfrost Peak's theme, I used Snowball Valley's new theme from Diddy Kong Racing DS.
