Diddy Kong Racing Multiplayer Battle 1
19A quick multiplayer round of one of the battle modes in Diddy Kong Racing for the Nintendo 64 by Rare. Diddy Kong (MacDaddyNook), Banjo (SunBurntKen), Tiptup (Duck) and Timber (AI) duke it out cove of Darkwater Beach.
Darkwater Beach is the battle area of Sherbert Island and follows in step with Mario Kart's Battle Mode in which players attack each other with the items the collect until one player is left standing. It's a fairly large battle area with a few ramps and tunnels to allow combatants places to evade attacks. Because of Diddy Kong Racing's item system, players also have more control over which weapons they pick up. Upgrading power-ups are limited depending on the item collected.
As stated before, all music that plays during the race was added in during post production as the Nintendo 64's hardware limitation forced the game to omit music during multiplayer races of three or more players.
