Hello guys, and welcome back to another helpful video. In this video, I'll be beating Klanadack with emulation properly using Not64. And playing as Sabre & Krystal in the unreleased Dinosaur Planet. This game ended up being cancelled, and was moved to the GameCube in 2001 and became Star Fox Adventures in 2002. The prototype of this December 1st 2000 build leaked on Feb 20th 2021 by Forest of Illusion on Twitter.

I figured out a way to get Klanadack working for emulators (at least for Not64).

After some experimenting, I found that changing the CPU Clock Divider to 2 in Not64's general settings, fixes Klanadack.

I was oblivious of this, as I had mine set to 1 for better performance. But this is ultimately the reason I was having issues. It proves that Klanadack does rely on lag to function correctly.

As for method in gameplay, I replicated the same method I did from my previous video on a real N64. And to my surprise it played out exactly the same, with obviously the usual Klanadack unpredictability.

From having consistent issues with emulation, this works with Not64. Not sure about other emulators, but I recommend trying to match your emulator's settings to real hardware as much as possible.

At 5:55, this is what usually happens when the CPU Clock Divider is set to 1. The performance is smoother, but isn't ideal for Klanadack.

It's an inevitability that he will get stuck! The only temporary solution is the DINOMOD 'About' method (it can be accessed from the DINOMOD Menu). I only managed to get it working once, sometimes twice. But it will vary (it even works on an N64).

At 7:09, I also did a run with Krystal! Nothing was different other than the same cutscene bugginess.

I hope that this video was insightful. In order for Dinomod v2.4 to work on an N64 with an Everdrive 64 X5, (not specific to X5) you need to copy and paste '0x8FBCD3CE=5' into 'save_db.txt' under CRC detection. 'Save_db.txt' is located in the ED64 folder on your Micro SD Card.

• OSSC: A low-latency video digitizer and scan converter designed primarily for connecting retro video game consoles and home computers to modern displays. It converts analogue RGB or Component video signals into a digital format, and doubles (or triples) the scanlines of a single frame if necessary to generate a valid mode for digital TVs or monitors.
