Disney's Lilo & Stitch: Trouble in Paradise (PS1) - 100% ~ 04: Malie Beach & Mertle!
Malie Beach is the next Stitch level. Not much to say here except that you have to try to avoid some falling logs from the sky to avoid getting hit so much. It can make you lose at least 1 life on your first playthrough as you won't be that aware of them.
Now let's talk about how this game is structured. Similar to one of Blitz Games' previous games, Chicken Run, the game has a 3 act structure, with 4 levels in every act & a Act finale with an encounter with one of the rival characters from the movie. At the beginning of the game, you were task to collect 4 photographs each from the 4 levels that's available to you as of now, totaling to 16 Photographs. Think of Lilo's Belongings as the Crystals from Crash 2, 3, Wrath of Cortex, XS & N-Tranced as you're required to collect all of the belongings to progress through the game. After collecting all 16 photographs and beating all four of Act 1's stages, you'll be whisked away to Act 1's Finale where you have to race Lilo's bully, Mertle Edmonds.
The race is extremely lucky for your sake. Since Mertle is faster than Lilo, since she uses her tricycle, they placed Red Pots that instantly explode on her side to slow her down so you can catch up. (By the way, those types of Red Pots will appear in the next level) The Red Pots placed on your side CAN ALSO HIT HER TOO, as shown here at 5:02. I find it funny Lilo would've lost the race if those Red Pots weren't conveniently on Mertle's side. This boss is extremely easy, because Mertle needs to slow down so Lilo could have a chance in winning, but they just took the lazy approach and spam shit on her. Though, I'd say it's deserved for Mertle given how much of a prick she is in the Movies & the TV series.
After you finished an Act, the game plays a cutscene to begin the Act. In this case, Lilo runs into Cobra Bubbles, the former CIA Agent that became a Social Worker. After Lilo tells him that she's trying to teach Stitch to be good, Bubbles makes an attempt to trick Lilo to go back home, by telling her to set an good example to Stitch by going back home. Though, instead of going home, Lilo decides that she & Stitch should collect Elvis Records as she believes if she plays them at the hotel, it'll make Stitch good. Thus, it now kicks off the second Act by telling you to now pick up 16 Vinyl Records.
