DJay 95 Plays: Marvel VS Capcom: Clash Of Super Heroes (Arcade) Longplay
Hey players, DJay here with a new arcade longplay on a crossover fighting game, Marvel VS Capcom: Clash Of Super Heroes.
Description of the game:
Marvel VS Capcom: Clash Of Super Heroes is a crossover fighting game featuring characters from both the Marvel Comics and Capcom Universe, released in arcades by Capcom in January 1998 on the CPS-II system board. It was later ported over on the Sega Dreamcast in March 1999 and the PlayStation in November 1999 with several additional features and later re-released on PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360 (XBOX Live Arcade) in September 2012 as part of the Marvel VS Capcom Origins Collection. Several Capcom characters including Captain Commando and other members of the Commando team, Lou from Three Wonders, Michelle Heart from Legendary Wings.etc, appear here for the first time on a CPS-II game.
The story of the game is loosely based on the X-Men: Onslaught arc from the Marvel Comics continuity: Following the incident in which mutant telepath Charles Xavier was forced to enter into the mind of Magneto, part of Magneto's anger slipped into Xavier's physche, and after merging with Xavier's darkest emotions, a powerful physchic entity, Onslaught, was born. The game expands by calling forth heroes from the Capcom universe in order to aid with defeating him.
While the gameplay remains the same as other entries in the series, there are 2 new features, including summoning any given special partners, though with a limited number of times and the duo team attack, allowing both characters to attack simultaneously. Players choose between 16 playable characters (Onslaught is unlockable in home ports only), 2 in 1 team and must fight against 7 different pairs before facing Onslaught himself in a 2 on 1 match. During battle, inflicting damage on your opponents until their health is completely drained is the main goal. Players can switch characters anytime or when one of their characters is knocked out. Upon performing special moves or attacking the opponent, your hyper combo guage fills up until it is full. Once full, a hyper combo can be performed, some can be performed at hyper combo level 2 and some combine both respective characters hyper combos to inflict more damage. Each match has a time limit, so players must deplete their opponents health before it reaches zero before they do the same thing to the player. Upon winning a match, the player advances to the next match. Losing a match will result in a game over unless the player chooses to continue.
Pick your best suited pair and get ready to fight!
