Once again, I found myself having some spare time while on the journey from Otumoetai to Greerton.

This time I was able to see DL 9613 passing by with an empty log train just before catching the bus to Greerton. For those that don't know, 482 is a mid-morning train that runs from Mount Maunganui to Kinlieth. Usually the train consists of empty log and newsprint wagons, but today there were no newsprint wagons for some reason.

The vantage point I used to film this train was the slide tower, which is part of the playground. I only use the tower as a vantage point on wet days. I seem to recall the last time I used the tower was back in October 2017, when I filmed a DL triple-header passing through with train 334 bound for Auckland.
