Train Simulator 2019: (SECR H class) A Visit to St. Ives
While I was reading through the manual for the 'Railways of Devon and Cornwall' route, I noticed that it said the current version includes full scenery on the line from St. Erth to St. Ives.
I have since done two journeys on the line, with this video being the 2nd journey. Today we go from St. Ives back to the junction at St. Erth, with our engine being a South Eastern and Chatham Railway H class, specifically No. 263 - which is the only preserved member of the class.
Our consist is just as anti-purist as the idea of running an SECR locomotive in Great Western territory. The train consists of two chocolate and cream Mk1 coaches, a van carrying milk churns and a GWR Toad brakevan which has the word 'peaches' on it.
The Railways of Devon and Cornwall route was available from Train Sim Designs, but - following the shutdown of TSD in January 2019 - RDC has been moved over to AlanThomsonSim. As for the SECR H class, she was made by - and is available from - Digital Traction.
