This is a patched version of "Donkey Kong Land" that adds full color support on the Game Boy Color. It also includes some new features: A Time Attack mode, level names from the manual displayed in the corner of the screen on the overworld, unused music restored, and an icon now appears in the bottom right of the screen when you have a Kong in reserve.

"Donkey Kong Land" is a platforming video game developed by Rare and published by Nintendo for the Game Boy handheld console. Released in 1995, the game serves as a portable adaptation of the popular "Donkey Kong Country" series originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).

In "Donkey Kong Land," players once again take on the roles of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong as they embark on a challenging adventure to reclaim their stolen banana hoard from the clutches of the cunning villain, King K. Rool. The game features a variety of vibrant environments, ranging from lush jungles to icy tundras, each filled with hazardous obstacles and enemies.

The gameplay closely mirrors that of the original "Donkey Kong Country" games. Players traverse through side-scrolling levels, using the unique abilities of both Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to overcome obstacles, defeat enemies, and collect bananas. Donkey Kong boasts greater strength, while Diddy Kong is more agile. The Kongs can also ride various animal companions, each with its own advantages.

Despite the limitations of the Game Boy hardware, "Donkey Kong Land" retains the graphical charm and challenging gameplay of its SNES predecessors. With its familiar characters, engaging levels, and nostalgic appeal, the game offers an enjoyable platforming experience for fans of the Donkey Kong franchise, allowing them to take the adventure on the go with the Game Boy.
