Don't know the rest of you, but I'm always expecting a lot from map29, 31 and 32!
And like it was for cchest1, we are now looking at a very big map.
By the way, to use an Armane's way to say I found this level very, very "speedrun-unfriendly" for a few reason/parts/rooms.
And I'm pretty sure the author didn't even intend to make such grimpies for the speedrunners!
In fact I reached the exit 4 times with some pinkies not been teleported in the large platform raising sadly, and im many sections with monster above pillars, the monsters are easily pushed downside, using rockets, bfg or spamming plasma. When this occurs in the last area, take note the monsters cant be reached anymore!
The consequences of this, is forcing the player to be extrimely careful using the best weapons, and alas slowing a bit the speedrunning :s
The level is a bit confusing at start, as the different switches opens or reveals new paths in such a large map, but differently from what it looks like, the route is almost forced here. I picked the blue armour at beginning to be safer, but arriving near the end with the strong need of the green one is rather normal.
The 2 cyberdemons are pretty dangerous if you wanna play the infighting game with the spiders, so I decided to blast them with most of the cells of the level, and rockets instead everywhere I could.
The final room is one of the hardest i remember of while speedrunning in last months by the way! HECK. as soon as you push the last switches, you are surrounded by imps (wayne!) and revenants, which will shoot their hated hooming missiles all the fucking time. The big problem there is that there's barely any wall to protect your butt, and the danger comes from every side. is that all? NO! damn it's not! in the last part monsters hit, can fall easily on the other side and make themselves impossible to be reached! this happened often using bfg, rockets and that's why Im using instead mostly plasma, and without spamming it. Even doing so, you can see a revenant about to fall, and me almost reached by the missiles once, and forced to jump down and lose 5~seconds.
Ah yea, I really found the second secret area brilliant, I loved how to doppio-jump on those 2 crates to reach this narrow path to the supercharge. neat!
