This video includes an ever-improving series of 8 demos of mine, some in highlight form, culminating in my Personal Best run; each demo scores all monsters and secrets of Doom 2's Map 04 'The Focus' from a pistol start, with no damage taken whatsoever. Then the climax is a split-screen comparison of my Personal Best with the current UV Max + Reality World Record (Coincident 1:39.66 in May 2020).
As my progress developed through several days in late November 2020, this video documents the tactical changes, mistakes and time savings that kept me going at the most frustrating no damage speedrun challenge I have attempted yet.
I wouldn't have touched the challenge with a barge pole if Coincident hadn't set the World Record in May 2020:

It's worth saying that although Coincident achieved his World Record in 269 attempts, my Personal Best was the product of thousands of attempts, so I would like to be able to improve my route/techniques a bit quicker on future speedrun challenges. I still struggle with my emotions when an attempt is the first one in a while to be going well --- ruining a run by getting overexcited is very frustrating.
