AMD Crimson 16.7.3 with Vulkan 1.0.17 at 1280 x 720
Vulkan gives 50 % to 66 % better fps then OpenGL 4.5 . see below .

had to up the CPU clock to 2.6 Ghz when recording with
Colossus 2 . and DOOM still pushed the CPU to 100 % .
When NOT recording , i can keep the CPU clock at 1.7 Ghz with DOOM .

Vulkan has increased the fps by a factor 1.5 to 1.6
at the opener white coffin , fps was 15 , but now it is 25 fps
that is an increase of 66 % . 1.66 * 15 is =to 25 fps .
amazing ! Other areas , instead of 30 fps , it now does 46 fps
that is 50 % more fps .
No over clocking required .
that's like , if a base fps is 60 fps , then Vulkan could push it to 99 fps , without over clocking , assuming fps gains are linear for all cards and resolutions .

AMD sure got Mantle right .
AMD's Mantle API was integrated into Vulkan API .

Thanks to DOOM 2016 , and AMD's new driver , it all works on
Kaveri APU 7850 K .

just got Dying Light The Following , and still doing Witcher 3 .
will keep DOOM 2016 on the back burner for now .
( not sure how big DOOM single player campaign is . )

keeping shadow setting Low .
DOOM needs 5 Gig or more VRAM to run shadows at Nightmare level . Before , I was keeping Self Shadow OFF , reduced fps too
much , but now Self Shadow runs ok with Vulkan .

i am using the same settings( plus more ) as before , when it was running with OpenGL 4.5 .
So Vulkan is beating OpenGL 4.5 by up to 66 % .

hmm. wonder how much better Vulkan is then DirectX ?

Not a total fair comparison , as Vulkan SDK compiles to tweaked machine code for AMD's architecture .
But yet , Directx and OpenGL have dedicated hardware to work with their API's ,..what ever .

If the above holds true with hardware bandwidth . then ,
30 Gig Byte bandwidth of Kaveri now is equivalent to 50 Gig Byte of bandwidth .
ie ; if using OpenGL 4.5 , Kaveri would need to be a 50 Gig byte bandwidth GPU to give the same DDOM fps that Vulkan is giving with just 30 Gig byte bandwidth . 15 fps verses 25 fps ,..or
30 fps verses 45 fps . approximately .

a 300 Gig byte bandwidth video card now has a performance equivalent of 500 Gig byte ,
ie ; a 500 Gig byte bandwidth video card is needed , when running OpenGL 4.5 ,
to give the same performance that a 300 Gig byte card can do , when running Vulkan .

update Aug 1, 2016
I recently tried TSSAA ( 8TX ) and it only impacts fps by 1 or 2
at the most ( virtually no change in game performance ) , and
TSSAA ( 8TX ) improve visual quality during 720p .

The biggest fps impact with Kaveri APU is 1920 x 1080 .
The biggest fps impact with Kaveri APU during 720p is Shadow
Quality set to Ultra , thus I keep Shadow Quality set to Low .

Motion Blur actually works good , No fps impact , with DOOM , however , I do not like continuous motion blur , so I keep it OFF . Same for Withcer 3 , motion blur is OFF ( don't like it )
