The 2 second buffer delay has been circumvented
in this setup configuration .

win TV 85 good version oct 17 , 2017
"GAME" setup access analogue ports
2 channels Component\HDMI
Shift + switches back to HDMI port

Part 1 and Part 4
are the most important , when using this setup .

CPU
utilization is about 9 % .
when recording component RGB using SPDIF
CPU utilization is about 4 % .
This is with Capture's "Settings Tab"
Preview OFF
Hardware acceleration OFF
( HW acceleration NOT needed because preview is OFF )

Hauppauge
Colossus 2 really does have a\is a
Component to HDMI converter ,
that is recordable .

do NOT hold the TAB key . must be deliberate
Hold Left Shift key , then press Tab 2 times , etc ,..
then press H , to switch back to the HDMI video port ..

if i should loose Focus of the "Video In" combo box ,
all i need to do is reboot to restore the HDMI ports and desktop .
see Part 4 for details on How To do that .

lag free game console play\recording and
lag free cable box viewing\recording
on the Component input port .
Both , game console and cable box , on the Component input ,
can record with Dolby ( 5.1 or 2.0 ) , on the SPDIF ,
all with real-time performance .

No need to view on a secondary monitor , when recording
a game console on the component port . Just one PC .

HDMI and Component recording quality are both excellent ,
as .m2ts h.264 , from the Colossus 2 recorder .

In fact , the Component quality is so good ,... PS3 , PS4
and cable box , all should look and sound every bit as
good as HDMI recording .
The PC itself , still views and records , using the HDMI .

why didn't i do this before ?
cause i just stumbled onto it , just this week.
Yes , real-time performance is much better .

It may be possible that other PC recorder products
can be Setup in the same way as i show in this tutorial .
If they have Real-Time HDMI pass thru , and if their
Component port works\responds in the same way that it does with
Colossus 2 , then yes ,...it might .
However , as far as i know , only the Colossus 2 PCIe
card has SPDIF input to record Dolby 5.1 source audio on SPDIF .
Colossus 2 also records Dolby 5.1 on the HDMI .
