One minute review of DOOM 2016!
Gameplay is king and the most important gameplay aspect of DOOM is combat: the combat of DOOM 2016 is inspired by the original games, but refined and expanded. The protagonist is the DOOM Slayer, who has a big arsenal of weapons, which have different roles to encourage the player to use them all. Your fight a wide variety of demons which all have different attacks and behaviors, and every fight has the right balancing for the difficulty set by the player. There are also three bosses which have peculiar moves, they are good but not as much as the standard arena fights. The Slayer can buff his weapons and abilities via collectables. The story is mostly told with the “show don't tell” method, all cutscenes are in first person and picture the angry persona of the Slayer perfectly. The soundtrack is one of the most intense and memorable music pieces of gaming. There is also an awesome level editor named Snap Map, and a multiplayer that I didn't play very much because it was intimidating.
