Happy 10 years of Skyrim everyone, it is mind blowing that so much time has passed since a game so revolutionary for its time, like Skyrim, has released for the first time. But let's talk about the mods, I'll try to cover the current situation of Skyrim and give you tips to make your save files work! I have tried to understand what's the situation, specifically on Xbox, because it's the system I play Skyrim on, and it's the system I share content on, regarding modding and load orders, and I want to make sure most of you guys are enjoying your time with the load orders I created, even after the update. For my understanding, both the Anniversary Edition and the Special Edition now run on the same code, the same framework that makes the actual game work, so I jumped into Special Edition, and loaded my save file to see what was happening, and as far as the actual gameplay goes I had no problems, my save loaded, I tried to save and load, I tried to check out what happened if I died, and all was good, well, just except from a horse that loaded its texture a little late, but nothing game breaking at least. On the other hand, the mods menu is completely busted, it needs me to log in every single time with my password, and on top of this, if you try to go back to the main menu the game has a semi stuck state, don't know if any of you had this problem, but if you found a solution let me know in the comments please. And finally, from what I've seen online, some people had their save files corrupted, and had to create new characters, but even then, if they try to load their new save files created within the new version of Skyrim, they get a black screen and it's unplayable. I only found one work around online that you may try, disable all the mods, close Skyrim, open the game again, activate the mods, close Skyrim again, open it again, and try to load your save! Aside from this, if you still have problems my suggestion at the moment is to only play with mods that do not require any sort of weird actions to be installed or uninstalled, to know that, simply check their description. I think, although not sure, that any graphic mod is going to work without problems, and most mods that don't have specific activation requirements should work too but I'm not sure about it, for example “Wildcat – Combat Of Skyrim” worked fine, but I suspect advanced mods like the “Ultimate Dodge Mod” could have problems, I didn't test it out personally but it's just an example. Hey, little addition to the script, I found out that also simple mods such as “Pastel Map Markers” can currently happen to break the game, which means it may be a case to case basis for every individual mod, but for the most part I want to feel optimistic, and also, some mods such as the “Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch” have been already updated, so update all the mods that have new versions to better your experience as much as possible. So yeah, I will be back with some Skyrim load orders for Xbox once the situation settles in, I already have some ideas for themed based load orders and more.
