After doing our final run through the Fortress of Doom, we head on to Nekravol.. and there's no coming back now until the end of the game.
Gotta say, the landscape of Hell in this game is downright amazing in comparison to the 2016 game. Friggin gorgeous.
Anyway, this is the point where the game decides that since we are now fully equipped that it can cease pulling its punches. It's relatively tame here still, but you can tell with the Arch-Vile encounter in a cramped area.. then later with the Marauder teamed with a Whiplash in a cramped hallway.
My horrific play style doesn't help matters much either. Heavy reliance on the low tier weapons.. faulty use of the flame belch.. and not enough grenade usage. It was hard to watch when editing, and it's only going to get worse later on.
Regardless, a pretty straightforward level otherwise. It took me a little to figure some things out, but overall this is one of the shorter stages in the game. I remember even feeling that when playing it live. Oh.. I guess this stage is the proper introduction of the Tyrant, but we've already fought him a few times in previous stages.
