In this final part, we.. uhh.. 'rescue' the governor. A group of cannibals helps us with a head of a navigator to lead us through the bowels of Monkey Island. We use it to recover their magical, ghost busting root.. of which they make a fizzy concoction for us to use.

When we go back, though, LeChuck's ship is missing. We're told he went back to Melee to marry the governor. The hermit of the island lets us use his ship to.. uhh.. 'rescue' him, and get back to Melee.

After getting there, it kinda seems our adventures were entirely pointless. Elaine had everything under control until we got there.. at which point we get punched across the island by LeChuck until we land in a soda machine at Stan's. We use a can of root beer and win the day!

At some point, we also apparently take LeChuck's still quivering beard.. but that's a story for another time...... maybe.

While I don't mind the Special Edition of MI, I prefer the original pixel art. The art direction in the special edition made some odd choices in certain places that I find hard to over look when I play it. In other areas, it's brilliant.
Same for the music, really. ...As such, I chose to use the music found on the CD version of the game instead of the special edition music. I almost went with the MIDI tunes, but felt the voices fit better with CD music.

That said, it was a shame that you couldn't mix the old graphics with the added voices in the special edition. So.. here we are with this. They fixed that issue in the future with the MI2 special edition... but, we'll cross that bridge when/if we get there.
