All of his work has been a inspiration to me even if I never become a mapper and this 2021 release is one I just finished and I believe its among his finest modern work alongside 2022 A Doom Odyssey.
Released on July 20th 2021 and given a honorable mention at that year's cacoawards. Its a 32 map megawad and is the follow up to Pcrof's 2013 megawad Zone 300 where here instead of 300 linedefs, Pcrof uses 400 linedefs in each map. Much like Zone 300, Zone 400 also has a entire soundtrack composed by Pcrof and they give a energy to it that you know, when you hear it, is pcrof themself.
Ammo and health are modest and you'll be fighting enemies in rooms that will use the classic formula of jack-in-the-box firing to avoid hitscanner clip damage, Later maps show the influence of Scythe that I feel Zone 300 didn't use that often and, honestly, Zone 400 is more entralling than the megawad that preceded it if only for making a wad that gave me a dose of nostalgia.
