Doom Wads/Mods #543:Day Of The Toys
https://mega.nz/file/RIthxCID#uLc29249Kkk53oL2xSTg_E_cnC0sDqeB4aOyUNe36vc Horror enjoyer I am, I've never found many mods for Doom, ones I thought were good sucked and I hated them. But one author that's been actually doing good effort is Impie (Mike MacDee) who has been making wads that are based on older games like Splatterhouse along with original concepts. This is the 9th file I selected for Season 14 because seeing it and playing it, it fit the bill of a horror mod.
Day of the Toys is inspired by 80's horror films, and we're a father in a city when toys come alive and begin a violent massacre.. Our goal? Find our son and escape the nightmare. As with other work by Impie the visuals and mapping are top notch. Our enemies include chattering teeth on legs, dolls, bunny rabbits with shotguns and other horrors and shooting the fuck out of them is satisfying.
Where to go can be confusing as switches that work and ones that work don't always make sense, later maps will test your ability to handle enemy hitscanner damage while platforming, What Day of the Toys really excites me about is how it shows Impie increasing in his mapping and modding abilities.
