Pogostick is a twist on Doom if it was a sidescroller and if it was 2D flat.
Going back to 2008 and sadly discontinued, Pogostick forced me to do a unique set up for controls by mapping my mouse to jump, fire, and strafe left/right to emulate the controls of your typical sidescroller from the DOS PC era like Commander Keen and Hocus Pocus. Everything about Pogostick requires a sharp focus on firing, jumping, running jumping and also gems you can get for a score along with tunes from Commander Keen to set the mood, The game in question can be either a frustration run or a solid run depending on how you do with sidescrollers. I'm not that good at them but Pogostick is amazing, to see something this different despite it being so old.
