Will last forever I say, because the community has given it the life it needs in so many ways. Some authors have gone away leaving surprise hits that hit differently, Erik Alm needing no introduction as author of Scythe and Scythe II who released the first two episodes of this unfinished wad on September 4rth 2009.

Scythe X is a different beast vs Scythe II which was the swansong of Erik Alm, It begins with a slow tempo like 2003's Scythe with its techbases but as the wad continues you'll see the Scythe II influences and the cruel burning sensation you'd expect with some ambushes really catching me off guard even today. It's unfinished yes and I had to replay Scythe and Scythe II before making this episode because it feels to me, like a final farewell from Erik, something to remember him by. The fact that it also was one of the top 25 missed cacoawards for 2018 also speaks volumes of Scythe X's importance.
