0https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/prcp2 And speaking of community projects, It never will fail to mention that the plutonia experiment is without a doubt one of the most notorious things involving OG Doom of the mid 1990's with quite a few wads I've gone over paying tribute to it. Like 2022 A Doom Odyssey, and Solar Struggle, this release caught me off guard and I knew I had to get an episode on it.
The sequel to 2011's Plutonia Revisited Community Project, PRCP II was released on August 21rst 2022 and was given a runner up slot at that year's cacoawards. Again led by Joshy, this 32 level megawad sees Plutonia Experiement brought to life meaner and even more sadistic vs the original PRCP. PRCP II opens up with Lippeth's track "Death Mask" from the Plutonia Midi pack and that was the first sign, yeah this is gonna be a wild ride.
Plutonia Experiment always made its reputation and shock value on downright hair-raising ambushes, loads of chaingunners and revenants, archvile usage, and the fact that in 1996 it had several infamous maps like Hunted, Speed, Cyberden, Go 2 It, and The Sewers to its name. PRCP II continues these traditions even more to a point or evolved where it like Plutonia Experiment 2.0
PRCP II will leave you for the vultures, whats left of your corpse that is if you think you can get by without looking for secrets, taking it slow in some areas and faster in others and not using the right weapon for the specific combat situation you are in, You also will be ruthlessly cut to pieces if you don't use berserk when you can to avoid wasting ammo. I've yet to clear this megawad but damn, does it make me smile seeing Joshy bring Plutonia back with the same burning sensation that has left scars for me since I first played Plutonia Experiment.
