So goes the wads made by members of the French Doom community who has graced this series in more ways then one. So now it is time to tackle a rejected Halloween special episode and one cut from Season 7, and give credit where it is due to this 2017 project led by Datacore and later FranckFRAG.
Tangerine Nightmare, which references German Electronic music group Tangerine Dream was released on February 16th 2018 and is a 9 level wad set to a unique color palate that incorporates a unique orange tint, unique skins for monsters and a more medieval styling to the zombiemen among other changes with music from Mark Klem, Jimmy, Goldeneye 007 and others setting the mood.
Like other French made wads, Tangerine Nightmare is.. ruthless to say the least, with the usual ambushes and choke points you expect and some downright devious traps that, yeah, made me so freaking mad during filming, and the last map I had to walk away because I was just livid with how much I died in the first area. But, I enjoyed Tangerine nightmare for what it is.
[[Yeah I was fucking mad after dying in Map02 with that nasty Baron trick, and tbh this wad has killed me more then most of the other French wads I've gone over. Not even Swift Death, the hardest french wad imo has killed me as much as Tangerine Nightmare. But I suppose thats how the French indentify themselves in the community]]
