Curiously, the 21 honorable mentions are a diverse group from full megawads and episodes to a few PWADS which is a spectrum that these 21 files received at that year's cacoawards. This one is again a cut from Season 17.
A 32 map megawad led by ViolentBeetle, Skulltiverse was released on October 8th 2021, being one of the twenty one honorable mentions in 21 more for 2021 segment. Its story is somewhat paper thin: The UAC has discovered Skullgate which are portals that connect to different dimensions but the hellspawn have invaded once again.
Unique to each map is you'll need a Blue Skull Key to enter the portal that appears right at the beginning of each map, with the combat reflecting upon Scythe and Alien Vendetta imo as each map is filled with ambushes that you will need to use caution with and others? Just hold on tight and do not let go of the firing key. Later maps almost reach Hell Revealed levels of slaughter but I was enjoying this megawad a lot.
[[Looking back 3 years ago, I think that the 21 more for 2021 segment helped me understand how large and important today's Doom community mappers and modders are, and this will continue to increase as time goes on. Because Doom will never die]]
