This 2021 Cacoaward runner up is by DMPhobos and was released on October 24th 2021, A 6 level wad that tells of the Arceon asteroid, home to research bases and mining colonies has been invaded by hell and now, as a survivor of this invasion, We gotta get out of here at any cost. Taking a obvious design inspired by Back to Saturn X and the OTEX texture pack, Arceon is a amazing mini episode in several ways.
From the word go, Arceon is not a slow burn but a intense combat ride that is moderately challenging reminding me of the UAC Base episode in Scythe II. Theres never a sense of being smothered or having things too easy which makes Arceon solid in my eyes, Its last level though can be a nightmare if you aren't loaded on ammo.
