So, after murdering just about everything in our way, we finally find a pathway that leads to something really interesting and kind of cool. We somehow stumbled upon a lost Thaig that appears to have red-coloured lyrium just littered everywhere. This will not be the last time we get to see/talk about the red lyrium (in fact, there is a whole game based on that very thing) so I’ll save the rants about that later for when we get there. As of right now, I do have to talk about some spoilers that happen in the video so this is a warning. After finding this Thaig, we then start to venture into the place and stumble across a rather odd looking statue that has some of that red lyrium infused with the stick and this is where things turn for the worst. Bartrand was very interested in that object, so much so that he locked us in the freaking room and left us for dead because he didn’t want to share the profits with us, like the greedy rat he is. After being kicked out of the original expedition, we then have to find an alternative route which leads us to meet a demon of sorts (I think they say he is demon of greed who is feeding off the golems hunger/their feast but he looks just like them, I guess to blend in with them) who tells us of a route we can take. Things in videogames are never that simple of course; He wants us to take care of a rather huge nuisance that has been bothering him and, in exchange, will let us out. This does mean we have a boss fight coming up which feels very similar to that of a MMO’s raid (I do like it, don’t think of this as an insult). I will say that this rock is really hard to kill and definitely takes quite a bit to even dent, let alone to kill but, we do get there in the end.
