The party continues carrying out the weapon skill quests. In the teacher's lounge next to the headmaster's office at Swinedimples, they find the shild instructor, Buckler (time 0:19). Since they have at least 30 skill points allocated to their Shield skill, he issues them Quest 087: Sucking Up to Buckler.

The goal for this quest is pretty simple. Party members must use their shields to block enemy attacks ten times in battle. Blocking attacks is random, but it is likelier the more skill points the target has in the Shield skill. So, the party heads outside of Swinedimples and defends against attacks from Shivery Shrubberies for several rounds. Simply evading attacks does not count. However, magic attacks can be blocked in addition to physical attacks. It may be better to accept this quest as soon as possible and work toward the goal over time.

After they have blocked the needed number of attacks, the party kills off the foes and ends the battle (time 13:08). Then, they head back into Swinedimples and report to Buckler (time 14:22). The shield-man rewards the party with a White Shield.

Next, they chat with Buckler again (time 15:37). Because they have maxed their Shield skills, he issues Quest 088: Buckler's Buckler. The goal this time is to kill ten Killing Machines with Blockenspiel, which allows its user to attack while defending.

So, they leave the academy and Zoom off to Gittingham Palace (time 17:03). All my party members have maxed Shield skills, so they can all use Blockenspiel. Killing Machines can be found in the Gittish Empire region.

Also, the party finally finds some Manky Mud by the southwestern swamp in the Gittish Empire (time 19:25).

During this exercise, Angelo reaches Priest Level 46 (time 25:28).

After Blockenspieling all ten Killing Machines, the party reports to Buckler at Swinedimples (time 29:28). He rewards them with the book 'Secrets of the Shield'. It enables its bearer to guard against critical hits. Sounds very nice for the HP-starved Mage.

More weapon skill questing will come.
