We are currently in the postgame. Previously, the party did some work in the Shikesubia area. Davilas restored Camus's sister Maya north of the Viking Hideout, and the party defeated the Evil Mumbaba in Mirurean Forest. However, they are not ready to face Evil Nedora, who is even worse than Evil Mumbaba. So, they will now work on restoring Ishi Village to its former glory. This is something that I felt was missing from Dragon Quest V.

The party zooms to Ishi Village (time 1:01). It is still in ruins, but the villagers have returned to begin rebuilding.

Outside his house in the northeast, Davilas finds Emma (time 1:55). She asks Davilas to gather together some NPCs to help rebuild the town. One person she wants is the merchant Deku, who is somewhere in the Derukadaaru area. Next, she wants bouncers from Grotta. She wants an information broker that had been sighted in Homura. Finally, she wants a mascot monster, a creature sighted in a frozen forest.

First, they will work on finding the merchant. Back in Derukadaaru, we learned from Deku's assistant that he was traveling to Ishi Village. So, where is he?

The party exits southwest to God's Rock (time 5:48). They progress through the foothills and the first cave of God's Rock.

They head out to the middle section (time 8:37). There, they find an Evil Hell Condor menacing Deku (time 8:46)! Davilas and Camus intercede.

With that, it is boss time against the Evil Hell Condor (time 9:19). Its worst attack is a powerful spell above Kafrizzle. The party can mitigate the damage from it by putting up Magic Barrier. It also has powerful physical attacks. Fortunately, it is not quite as nasty as some of the other post-completion bosses. He can heal himself with Moreheal, so make sure to keep the damage coming.

Before long, the Evil Hell Condor falls (time 13:12). It yields 28,000 experience points and 9,000 Gold. Davilas reaches Level 57. He gains 9 skill points for a total of 10. Senya reaches Level 56. She gains 12 skill points for a total of 21. Martina reaches Level 56. She gains 7 skill points for a total of 18. Under her Faith skill tree, Senya spends 16 points on a trait to boost MP by 20 in the left. She earns an "Atari" bonus of 10 skill points at this node. Under Spears, she spends 14 points on a trait to boost guard chance with a Spear by 5%. Under Fisticuffs, Martina spends 14 skill points on a trait to raise HP by 30. At this node, she also earns an "Atari" bonus of 10.

After the battle, there is a scene with Deku (time 15:09). He rewards the party with some Alexandrite. Then, he agrees to help out with the reconstruction of Ishi Village. He runs off to Ishi Village.

In my commentary, I was incorrect about when Senya learns Omniheal. She learns it at Level 66, not at Level 60. Drat.

To go after the bouncers, the party heads to Grotta (time 18:21). Before recruiting the bouncers, the party must first defeat Evil Arachratoro in Grotta Cave.

Outside the orphanage, the party talks to Garemson (time 19:25). He and his weird friend Berorin Man are the bouncers. They immediately agree to head off to Ishi Village.

To go after the mascot, the party heads to Shikesubia Snowfields (time 19:54). From there, they head north to Mirurean Forest (time 21:10).

In the north of Mirurean Forest, they talk to Mumbaba (time 23:10). In order to recruit this critter, Davilas must tame it by dealing the finishing blow with a Zap-family spell. He now sends Mumbaba off to Ishi Village.

The information broker is obviously Rupas. Though he was in Homura early in the game, he is now in Daaharuune. So, the party zooms to Daaharuune (time 23:47). Before recruiting Rupas, the party must clear out Daaharuune's monster invasion.

Near the town entrance, the party talks to Rupas (time 24:55). He and his daughter Ruko immediately set off for Ishi Village.

That's all the NPCs, so the party zooms to Ishi Village (time 25:22). They arrive to find the town already rebuilt. Wow, they work fast!

Near the church, the party finds Emma (time 26:11). She gives them Emma's True Amulet, a hero-exclusive accessory. It is similar to what she gave Davilas at the start of the game, but much better.
