We are currently in the postgame. Previously, the party gathered treasures from the sky-accessible locations. Now, they will check out the destination marker in the Van der Fon region.
First, they zoom to the Medal Academy (time 0:59).
They talk to the headmaster to turn in their Mini Medals (time 2:09). For turning in 90 Mini Medals, they earn the Etoile recipe book. "Etoile" is French for "star". It has recipes for the Etoile Crown and Etoile Suit. Their current total is 91 Mini Medals. At a total of 100, they will get the Hero's Shield. Sounds worth it to me!
Next, the party zooms to Nerusen's Inn in Van der Fon (time 2:49).
West of the inn, they go down the western set of stairs in the Van der Fon Castle ruins (time 5:42). Downstairs, they go through the teleportal to Nerusen's Labyrinth (time 6:01). They arrive in a strange limbo space. In case you need it, there is a Goddess statue that can be used to recover HP and MP and to save the game.
The next teleportal leads to the Road to the Town of Trials (time 7:39). This place greatly resembles the Shikesubia Snowfields, but this is an isolated area. The party begins in the northeastern low ground.
Nearby, there is a stalk that yields Rainbow Stones, Ice Crystals, and green clumps (time 9:35).
On the northern side of the northern cabin, there is a chest containing a suit of Sacred Armour (time 10:27). This will recover some of its wearer's HP each turn. The party can rest in the cabin.
The question mark exits lead to other parts of the map (time 11:41).
In the west, they find a teleportal (time 12:22). It leads to the southern section of the area.
In the southern section, they can find a tameable Strong Rubanka (time 12:45). Riding it, they can dash to break through ice barricades.
They smash through the barricade nearby (time 14:03).
Across the bridge to the west, they find a mining point that yields Amethysts, Sapphires, and Rubies (time 14:19).
On the middle ground below, there is a farming point for Gold Gemstones (time 14:37).
Note that the Grand Caesar dragons in the area can drop Alexandrite.
Along the central corridor, the party uses the Rubanka mount to smash through another ice barricade (time 16:37). They can now climb the slope.
On the partial snow bridge to the south, there is a farming point for Emerald (time 17:02).
Across a snow bridge directly to the north, there is a chest containing an Evil Dragon Eye (time 17:33).
To the north, the party drops down to a lower plateau. On the western side, there is a farming point for Ethereal Stone (time 18:26).
On the eastern side, there is a tree (time 18:41). It yields Shaded Sap, Frozen Branches, and Twilight Branches.
The party smashes through the ice barricade to the area near the cabin (time 18:53).
They loop around and climb up to the plateau. They make their way northeast toward the Ancient Library.
On the cliff southeast of the library, there is a chest that contains an Eien Shield (time 21:18). That is it for the area's treasures.
The party passes through what appears to be the door to the Ancient Library (time 22:12). They arrive in another limbo with a helpful Goddess statue.
They pass through the portal at the opposite end (time 23:02). They arrive in the Town of Trials. This area resembles the small version of the Village of God's People from before the end of the game. Disappointingly, there are no treasures here. However, there are some chatty friendly monsters. There is a Goddess statue for saving. Also, the Town of Trials appears on the zoom list.
The party heads into the main temple (time 26:47). They will find some of the Mr. Popo folks in here. The one near the entrance will recover the party's HP and MP.
Two of the guys in the main chamber have story information (time 27:22). One talks about Nizuzerufa's dark barrier. The Hero's Sword must be used to dispel it. Aha! The elder tells Davilas to examine the three saplings in the room to undergo some trials. Currently, only the northwest sapling is available.
One person runs a vault. One sells Redo Gems. There is a Mysterious Blacksmith here. The southeastern one runs an item shop. The wares include some useful but expensive materials.
