This is video #14 in my Dragon Warrior playthrough. In this video, Heorot makes sime final preparations before heading off to Castle Charlock. In Brecconary, he obtains a Dragon's Scale, which boosts his defense power a little bit.
Then, he heads back south to Cantlin. This time, I actually fight the battles along the way.
Down in Cantlin (time index 9:20), Heorot buys no radishes, but he does buy some Fairy Water, which reduces encounters like the Repel spell.
After returning to Tantegel and healing up, the hero heads back to Rimuldar via the Swamp Cave (time index 16:20). He rests up in preparation to head back to Castle Charlock for the final encounter.
