During gameplay a single "photon" appears at the centre and moves on the laser tracks. You must guide the photons to any one of the 8 "nodes" located on the edge of the board. You can use the glasses to change the direction of the lasers (round glasses changes direction once a photo passes through)
between a pair of nodes on any side is a "warp" gate where photos will travel through and appear back out on the other side of the board. If a pair of photons link up, a laser beam will seal off the warp gate and causes photons to bounce off it instead.
If you lose a photon (or photons, by case of colliding with another photon that has been home'ed), all other photos becomes loose and you just reguide them to a new node. Falling below the threshold (the coloured bar on the left) loses the game - so if the threshold is 1 photon, you will remain in the game so long there's at least 1 photon already home'ed in the node when you lose any photon(s)
