IMPORTANT: I abused the shit out of VPN by putting myself in New Zealand, which may be the furthest possible location from my own country. Most people wouldn't do that, which means they wouldn't get what I got here, but there are people who abuse it the same way as I did.

VPN is broken and if you get used to it is advantageous (for fishing). It's really different from regular play and weird, but for FISHING it is close to heaven (parrying is hard tho unless you spam it :). Not sure about regular pvp because you can't really space anyone with VPN (my kind at least), that's why most chinese host are only running around with caestus + dagger farming pivots. You have more iframes than usual when rolling or at least it seems like that.. Panic rolling can make you super hard to hit, you can even roll into some lightning storms and not get hit at all. It is more safe to be closer to you opponents than further away because they have a loooot of range on you, for some reason when you're close to them some attacks just glide through your body not even hitting you. You can interrupt almost any attacks with a shitty weapon without having any poise and not get punished for "losing" (not really) a trade.
