Dual Xeon E5430 + GTX 1060 6 GB - Mass Effect Andromeda Multiplayer - Ultrawide - Read Description
The sound issue might be because of the old hardware or lower performance. It happens when many sound effects are present and have to blend/play together. I don't have such issues on other systems.
A test run on a workstation from 2007 I had for some time and decided to revive by pairing it with a GTX 1060 GB and adding up some RAM. I would say that the game runs pretty well for such an old system given a few tweaks to the game engine as well as the OS to focus all available resources onto it. This system won't run the latest titles due to the lack of SSE 4.2 and AVX instructions which are used in most demanding games these days, but it does run some older ones. I might buy two Xeon X5460 as an upgrade which might get games closer to the 60 fps target. SSD is also required.
Game performance is mostly around mid 40s in terms of fps in battles.
