A stirge resembles a monstrous cross between a large hummingbird and a mosquito. Stirges lurk in forests, caves, and swamps until a living creature passes near. They then stalk and attempt to subtly attach themselves to the creature and feed off its warm blood. Inside newly hatched Stirge egg shells is a green, foul smelling ichor that works very well as a potent stirge deterrent for up to a day per application on one's person.
