DW FE - Stage 2 (Chaos)
14The second stage introduces us to mid-bosses, enemies that grant more EXP than usual upon defeat, weapons that can inflict poison to your party, and terrain effects.
You have to really take it slow here, but the forest terrain and Masayuki help with that a lot. You can also go to the blue house to get access to the first shop in the game, but your limited funds won't leave you with much to buy. Depending on how much you used Sima Yi, you may want to buy him a tome or buy a bronze weapon for Masayuki so he won't kill enemies, allowing your other characters to get kills more easily.
Rodrigo, the boss, is more dangerous than Gorg was, due to the fact he can crit more reliably and is harder to hit. Also on this difficulty, the thieves in this map can steal from the player, so that's something to watch out for if they start stealing your healing items.
SUB BOSS Pat - His main strength is his high HP, you most likely will need to use Masayuki to weaken him if you don't want to use the Rapier to retaliate on Enemy Phase. He is very easy to deal with no matter the difficulty.
SUB BOSS Gunny - Extremely easy to take on, the real challenge with her is not pulling too much of the thieves around her accidentally, but you have Masayuki if Shao and Sima Yi can't handle them all. Her weapon changes based on the difficulty, so don't let it catch you out.
BOSS Rodrigo - Rodrigo is the second tutorial boss, much like Gorg, however instead of just being a warm up boss like Gorg, Rodrigo also teaches you a very important lesson. This boss is to teach you to not engage an enemy with a high chance to kill directly. On Casual/Classic he stays put, so you could chip him away with Sima Yi and have Shao finish him off to spare Shao a blow from the Killing Edge, but on this difficulty he moves from his spot. On Chaos the tactic is still the same, only you have to deal with the initial pull of him. I highly recommend using Masayuki here and use the forests for cover. Rodrigo is fast enough to not get doubled by Masayuki, but can still survive a hit so Masayuki won't take the kill EXP. Like Gorg, he will not attack Gracia. This is to give you a hint that he and Gorg are not bad people, but to also give the player some slack.
