Dying Light 2 - Part 13 - Has Hakon Really Left Us!
Hey everyone and welcome back to Dying Light 2.
We have now given control of the water tower to the peacekeepers so this will have upset the survivors, we will need to watch our footing around them now as them might not light us around. Hakon radios us and tells us that it is now safe to check out Barney's hideout. Barney has mentions a few things that make him the prime suspect, but also Jack & Joe mentioned Barney and Lucas having problems.
We head to Barneys hideout as Hakon has said he isn't there. We look around his room to investigate. Barney's room is an absolute mess! There is a board that we are able to push aside that leads into the walls. There is a strange object on the floor, its human skin. We have found Lucas's tattoo, this could tie Barney to everything. As we leave Barney walks in and begins to fight with us. After Knocking Barney out Aitor arrives to arrest him. Aitor now wants to speak with us about his end of the deal.
Everything we have done to gain access to these tunnels might finally be over. Aitor is interrogating Barney but he still swears he didn't do it, could Barney have been set up? Barney has a reputation and makes everyone really believe he's the killer. Aitor tells us to go to the metro tunnels as we are able to pass through to the city. Aitor asks us to hand a letter to his wife and kids when we arrive.
Underground we are now able to enter the tunnel and follow the metro into the city. Hakon is waiting for us and we start to progress together. We are able to talk with Hakon as we walk like at the beginning of the game. Hakon tells us about a past relationship, but as he's talking the UV lights flicker. It looks like the ventilators have been shut down and we need to fix them before the air becomes to toxic. Hakon works on the generators to keep the UV lights on too. Aiden turns on the generator but it did not work, Hakon tells us we need to overload it. To do this Hakon will have to disconnect the lights and we will have to walk in the dark back to him. Everything seems to be back to normal but there is a chance it could go down again. Along with Hakon we begin to move a little faster to reach the other side.
Whilst walking there are some notices behind us, we leave hakon to go and investigate. Whilst investigating the doors close and we are locked in. Hakon is on the other side of the door and is now asking for the GRE key, can we really trust him? We hand it over hopefully he can help. After a few minutes Hakon goes silent could he really have left us down here? Now tht the tunnels are filled with darkness the infected have began flooding the area we just need to survive. At the barrier there is a peacekeepers named Anderson, she had been sent by Aitor as he knows we might be stuck down here. Anderson tells us the Bazaar have blown up a windmill and that's why there is no power.
Hakon has really left us, so we have to rely on Anderson to get us out. We need to keep out immunity from going to low whilst fighting the infected that are flooding into the area. Anderson comes back with charges that we can use to blow up the wall to escape. We manage to escape the tunnel but once we are out we are attacked and taken. It's Barney! Barney is very angry with us about handing him over to the PK's and now wants some revenge. Barney wants to fight us with a few of his men, it looks like we have no option but to fight.
Check back next time as we hunt down Hakon and get our GRE key back!
