It Takes Two - Part 10 - Is This Game Diablo?
0Hello everyone and welcome back to It Takes Two.
Cody & May are still trying to find there way to the magical castle to find the elephant toy. We have been following this track that Cody made with Rose that should lead us straight there, but we have had some adventures along the way. Cody & May now need to keep going on this track to reach the city gates.
Eventually we reach a draw bridge that has been raise stopping us from progressing. There is a clown that asks if we are here to see the queen, turns out this is the elephant. Once visitors of the queen are able to pass. To lower the bridge we need to get a ball to the other side of a puzzle with out dropping it, we can then use this ball to pop the balloon. There are checkpoints through out this puzzle that help you to progress. Cody & May need to work together to get the ball all the way to the end otherwise it will break. There is even a balance section that requires both players to concentrate on the ball in different ways. Once the ball has made it all the way to the end we are able to put it into a slingshot and shoot down the balloon holding the bridge.
Using the cart we make it to the castle entrance, once we pass through the gate there is a large city for us to explore. Like always there is a lot to interact with and even games for Cody & May to play. At the gate we are able to use a giant ball to knock down the queens gate and enter the castle. When we enter some knights stand in our way and stop us from reaching the queen. However whilst talking the book shows up and tells them the truth about what we are trying to do! They put us in jail and we must escape. Once we make it out of the jail we then unlock our new abilities by dressing us as a knight and wizard. Cody is able to use Ice magic and May is able to use a fire sword. This game then turns into a Diablo like setting. The game goes from its regular camera setting to a more top down feel and we have to attack enemies with our new powers. Cody & May also have different button attacks that they are able to use including an ultimate move. There is even a boss run at the end. You can see how quickly the game is to jump right back in once both players die. It is really fun to play in this style as it is completely different from the actually game play.
Cody & May eventually reach an arena based on a chess board. The chess pieces are guarding the queen and our way forward. This is the next boss fight within the game. There pieces move along the board dealing damage to us, but we must take down the king and queen pieces. This is easy with our new abilities. Before we are able to enter the next door our magic outfits are destroyed!
We are finally able to meet the elephant queen and speak with her. This child's toy is very welcoming to us, this makes Cody & May begin to second guess themselves. The elephant queen learns what Cody & May are up to and begins to run away.
