Earth vs Mars – Relic breaks away from RTS and goes tactical in 2025
In this video, we explore Earth vs. Mars, the new turn-based strategy game developed by Relic Entertainment under its experimental label, "Relic Labs." The game puts us in the middle of a Martian invasion, where humanity responds with hybrid soldiers created using the Splice-O-Tron: a machine capable of combining human DNA with animals like rhinos, cheetahs, and insects to generate units with unique abilities.
We try out the available demo, which includes introductory missions, and I show you how its tactical gameplay works, the unit creation system, the mission types, and how polished it feels at this stage. I also share my first impressions of the visual design, interface, enemy AI, and overall gameplay approach.
If you like turn-based tactical games with a creative flair, deep customization, and a futuristic setting, this title might catch your eye. But is it worth it in its current state? Here's my honest opinion.
