I couldn't tell what his game was, or if there was any game being played at all, but I listened on as he seemed to speak exactly what I was thinking into existence. "She was a young love, there's no point in opening old wounds, she slept with others, did she not? While you two were still together?", he asked, venom in his words. "Yes, but I knew. I knew, and we weren't seeing one another much then anyways. I didn't care, I was too drunk to care then, lost in substance." "It's because of her, is it not?", he asked, my blood freezing in my veins as he speaks. "No, I did it to myself, she..." "You never would've swallowed those pills if you didn't go back to her, right?" I stopped dead in my tracks. He glared at me with a dead, cold stare. "It was her who led you to such disgrace, made you into the pathetic sight I see before me, a man with no shape, no identity, trapped by his thoughts of some pale beauty that you just want to get your rocks off with, I bet. Maybe, just maybe, find a decent person, and , oh, I don't know, do be a stupid fucking junkie this time? Just food for thought, lad." He continued forward as I swallowed his harsh words down my throat. Prehaps I had been all wrong about it, maybe she wasn't meant to be in my life. Maybe I just fooled myself again, thinking I was doomed to love only the wicked my whole life. I was a young man though, I truly knew no better back then. All I could was hope that maybe, somehow, I'd the answers and pleasure I've been looking for since I was just a boy.
