In this video I am going to throw in a topic about the engineer called professor Palin in the game Elite Dangerous.

To find Palin you need to unlock Marco Qwent first.

Anyway, in this video I am going to talk about the mininum requirements first
- jumping 5000 LY from your home station (the station you started)

To do this, you will need a ship that can jump pretty far (that makes it easier to get it done anyway). I personally choose the ASP Explorer for this because it has a pretty large jump range (48Ly).

To make the 5000Ly you might need to take in to account that a trip like this, takes about 2 hours (maybe more / less... kind of depends how you play it, and what type of ship you have).

Then you will need to pick up 25 sensor fragments.
You can find these on Alien Crash sites / Thargoid Crash sites (this is the easiest method to do it anyway).

The system I went for is : HIP 17403 Planet A 4 A
Once you get there, you will need to find Thargoid Sensors, shoot the sensors (and these will spawn sensor fragments).

Once you picked up 25 of these, you are ready to unlock Professor Palin.
