In this video I will try to explain what has been changed during the latest patch of Elite Dangerous. Last Wednesday Frontier have released a patch to counter the whole 'issue' with sub-surface mining. One thing they haven't realized is that due to this patch, laser mining has been effected too.

Low temperature diamond hotspots are useless these days and I did 3 different test cases to check this:

- type 9 using 320 prospector limpets in a tripple hotspot LTD: 0 rocks found
- type 9 using 320 prospector limpets in a single hotspot LTD: 2 rocks found
- Asp Explorer using 32 prospector limpets in a tripple hotspot LTD: 0 rocks found

(I used the asp to jump to a different remote location)

So that kind of sums it up for me. So tonight I'll check what happened to painite hotspots and void opals (deep core). However something tells me that painite hasn't been effected by any of this, yet void opals are most likely more rare too because I have already heard that deep core mining is also effected by all of this.
