Description:
Despite the events of Soma Spirits, the world of Soma is eventually destroyed by the sudden appearance of a giant eye. The crew of Starship Virtue take it upon themselves to look for the scattered fragments of Soma in the hopes of piecing it back together. Join Zero, Reca, and Lumen as they do reconnaissance on the remains of Soma and figure out their purpose in life.

The boss has four flunkies, but the good news is that they don't respawn.

You'll get a scripted automatic battle where Bright, Rozen, and Silvio fight Form and Dissonance. Unfortunately, they lose, and in his desperation, Bright destroys Absolution's mask. Form and Dissonance continue attacking anyways, resulting in Rozen and Silvio sacrificing themselves to save Bright. Bright uses the lingering Absolution power in himself to give Rozen and Silvio a second chance at life as Heart and Soul. Bright then faces Form and Dissonance by himself, resulting in the sundering.
Unfortunately, Absolution wasn't completely destroyed, and it has additional fragments even smaller than the four orbs from this game. Form and Dissonance brought back a portion of Absolution's power with the six orbs of emotion, which had fragments of that power.
22:10 How Bright Got Here
After Bright sacrificed himself at the end of Soma Spirits, he wandered the world as a disembodied soul.
When Zeta gets a hold of Absolution, he declares his intent to destroy the world and build a new one in its place, which saves Absolution the trouble of slowly corrupting him. Bright enters Zero's body and interrupts Zeta and Absolution, reducing the potential damage to Soma. Zeta then takes Zero and the Epsilon series into the Virtue to trick them into helping him with a "rescue mission."
Zero starts questioning if they have an identity of their own, but Bright points out that Zero was in control of their whole journey, and all the decisions and friends they made belong to them.
30:59 Escaping the Lab
Zero resists Absolution's control with Bright's help, but Zeta runs off with Absolution. The lab is set to explode and there are a lot of Absolution fragments running around. The three prototypes offer to clear a path and stay behind, but Zero convinces them to live and join the Virtue.
You'll have to fight some battles, so make sure to re-equip Reca and Lumen with their sigils.
Professor M stays behind to hold off the shadow creatures and tells Reca that she'll become just as great of a leader as Oakley.
36:35 Virtue
You can't access any shops yet, but you can talk to all the NPCs and party members. The party member dialogue will change depending on their orb choice and cause them to learn a choice-specific skill. Once you talk to them both, you can return to the Garden, talk to Reca one more time, and go to the window. After a team pep talk, Absolution's castle appears.

Zero rallies everyone and tells them that even if Captain Guidance misled them, they still have the power to team up and determine their own futures. They then get their choice-specific skill.
