This series looks at popular and powerful endgame unique items. I'm trying to strike a balance between powerhouse items and niche/forgotten uniques - this is in the powerhouse camp, although usually not so expensive that non-powergamers can't get it.
Coward's Legacy makes your character worse if you don't build around it. If you do, it's the best damage increasing belt in the game.
It goes EXTREMELY well with Atziri's Reflection, the unique shield, and also with Viridi's Veil (Maven helmet).
Acquisition methods:
- Trade for it (~3ex in most leagues, ~100c in Ultimatum with perfect 10% movespeed roll). Then divine to 10% movespeed, add 20 Accelerating Catalysts, and consider chasing a Lab enchant.
- Acquire a Vial of Consequence and a Coward's Chains from the Temple of Atzoatl, then combine them in a Tier 3 Sacrifice room.
- Mix and match: acquire some of those 3 pieces yourself, then trade for what you are missing.
- Ultimatum league only: Use a Vaal Reliquary Key and get lucky. That was the method by which the one you see in this video was created.
