Endless Legend 2: The Good, The Bad & The Beautiful - EL2 Review
1,207This is my Endless Legend 2 Review. EL2 is the latest 4X Fantasy Strategy game from Amplitude Studios. This time around, Endless Legend 2 offers some new dynamic map features like Monsoon & Tidefall seasons, that slowly expand the map. Endless Legend 2 also offers some great, core 4X city building and expansion. It's combat system feels very familiar to anybody who has played HUMANKIND game. While its hero system feels right at home to me as an Age of Wonders 4 player.
Endless Legend 2 is an early access game, and it still has work to do. Notable mentions here include the custom faction creator, game speeds, more faction colors, and some text & city UI improvements. However, the early access experience looks beautiful, runs well, and is generally polished and fun. With only 5 factions, some repetition is necessary on smaller maps.
Endless Legend 2 does not have a post-release roadmap at the time of filming this video. Unfortunately, that makes its future unclear. However, with Amplitude Studios developing the game, and Hooded Horse publishing it, we should be in safe hands for an interesting and engaged early access period for EL2.
