Endless Legend 2: The Next Great 4X (Humankind + Age of Wonders 4?)
376Endless Legend 2 is Amplitude Studios new 4X strategy game, following on from HUMANKIND in 2021, and ENDLESS LEGEND in 2014 (among others), EL2 is a turn-based, fantasy 4X game that scratches a very similar itch to Age of Wonders 4 for me. So today we explore my early thoughts of the Endless Legend 2 preview. This ain't quite the ultimate Endless Legend 2 review (early access begins in late September 2024, for an undisclosed period), but I do have many thoughts on this frankly awesome new 4X game - so let's discuss Endless Legend 2! Is it good? How does it compare to other strategy games? For me, Endless Legend 2 is a blend of Humankind (or more specifically, Amplitude's recent 4X strategy game "feel") and Age of Wonders 4 (glorious fantasy 4X, with RPG elements).
