Eonar, Coven, Varimathras [Heroic] [ALL TANKS] 7.3.5
24These are the final 3 bosses downed. Now all of Antorus Heroic has been defeated by a group of tanks!... Still stuck on 2/11 Mythic however...
Tactics:
Most of the bosses are doable thanks to Concordance buff / geared people. Back in the days, the DPS requirements were too high to manage on bosses such as Eonar / Varimathras.
Eonar:
DPS is the biggest issue. Otherwise it aint too hard. The bats can be dealt with by our ranged abilities... Especially Guardian Druids moonfire helps a lot!
The part that gives the most trouble is usually the second bat wave. Since you will have used a lot of resources / time to finish off the bats, the other platforms might go out of control during this time and you have trouble on all sides.
Surviving the encounter is actually quite easy. I would suggest gearing and working mainly on your groups DPS.
Coven:
This one can pose more of a survival threat, but also DPS when it comes to the Aman'thul phase. Bringing a few Protection Paladins work wonders, since their offhealing is very strong.
Aman'thul might be an issue, but thankfully a team of only tanks can sustain themselves much better than an ordinary raid setup. So even if the stacks goes up high, most people should be able to handle it!
Varimathras:
This one is a strict DPS race. Make sure the group gears for DMG and that no one fail with the Necrotic Embrace. With a large enough group, you should be able to bring atleast a few % down through Berserk (depending on your teams overall HP, it takes awhile for the boss to meele hit all the tanks to death).
All in all, I would say that a team of only tanks can manage Heroic Antorus fairly well. Some bosses are way easier defeating as a group of tanks (Coven, Aggramar) than if you tried with a normal raid comp, while others causes more of an issue because of tight DPS checks (Argus, Varimathras etc).
