Evolution of Caddy Fat Cat (1997-2016)
Next in the evolution series is Caddy Fat Cat. An American Low-rider which started out with a 1970s look, before going to a more classic, 1950s look in later games and a different vehicle in Slam Sedan in between.
Out of all the stealworthy vehicles in the original Carmageddon games outside the Suppressor, Caddy Fat Cat is one of the best in my opinion, this along with Tow Meister become stealworthy from rank 38, both of which are fantastic vehicles not just in Tier 2 but also great choices for the late stages of career until Suppressor or in Splat Pack, Rig O'Mortis is unlocked. Tow Meister has better armor and more weight, whilst Caddy is slightly faster. Caddy Fat Cat also makes for a solid all-rounder in network play.
Slam Sedan in C2 is one of the better Tier 1 vehicles with solid armor and offensive backed up with fairly decent power. However it's hard to justify using Slam Sedan over Thunderbucket as despite better strength (Slam Sedans 3/5 compared to Thunderbucket's 2/5), its rival is much heavier at 3 tons, slightly quicker and much cheaper at 175,000 credits compared to Slam Sedans 460,000 credits.
Caddy Fat Cat in CR:MD is a great vehicle as it is one of the best offensive vehicles in the game as its front spikes can penetrate with ease and its 2.63 strength rating means it can do serious damage to most vehicles even wrecking Rig O'Mortis. It is also surprisingly difficult to wreck in most cases, even with power-ups. However it doesn't have the speed, acceleration and handling of its predecessor. In career, it faces stiff competition from newer generation vehicles such as Crazor where it fares better in Death Race, Checkpoint Stampede and Fox N'Hounds, Caddy Fat Cat though is better suited in more destructive modes such as Classic Carma and Car Crusher, however keep in mind that Caddys front weapon can skewer peds which will severely limit its mobility. Also you will very likely be swapping both Crazor and Caddy out for one of the Super-heavyweights such as Lumberer as they have the best chance of taking on the Subpressor and Super Suppressor in the very late stages of career.
In multiplayer, it is a god-tier vehicle along with Shredlight, Electric Blue and Crazor. It is one of the best car crusher vehicles out there and also performs solidly well in Death Race, Checkpoint Stampede and Fox N'Hounds and although it is off the pace, it can resort to stealing if necessary. It's armor makes it difficult for the opposition to steal points from Caddy Fat Cat.
